Alloy 218 Round Bars provides a significantly lower cost way to fight wear and galling compared with cobalt-bearing and high nickel alloys. Alloy 218 Bars has the addition of nitrogen to the alloy, which enhances the strength internally rather than being nitrided on the surface as some steel are treated.

Alloy 218 Rods is known for its excellent galling resistance, even at elevated temperatures. UNS S21800 Bars is an anti-galling and wear resistant austenitic stainless steel. NITRONIC 60 Square Bars is nitrogen strengthened austenitic stainless steel, with outstanding strength and resistance to wear and galling.
